This was a makeover project on an existing shopping website that was about 6 months old. We reorganized the layouts on every page; fixed glitches that appeared in some browsers but not others; added custom graphics and buttons; redesigned the shopping cart and blog; added drop-down menus; worked with the customer's graphic designer; made business-related suggestions; made fonts more consistent and implemented suggestions made by another website analysis company; and made the site easier to navigate and more readable. Modest budget, super-fast development cycle (less than 3 days). All work was done by email and telephone, with many changes being made real-time during phone conversations with the customer, who is based in Ohio. » Testimonial |

In business since 1985, Rininger Lock and Supply in the San Diego area specializes in commercial, wholesale, institutional, military and residential security locks.
Site features:
PCA integrated a templated Dreamweaver site with a templated shopping cart system (ProStores) to provide a seamless customer experience and to simplify future site updates. The site has two main components: 1) A Dreamweaver-maintained "outer wapper" for the home page, contact, and shipping pages, along with the entry point to the inner shopping cart and catalog pages. 2) The back-end catalog and shopping cart.
The project involved identifying which companies handle technical support for various pieces of the system, figuring out how all the pieces worked together, and working with tech support where necessary. PCA learned the new shopping cart system, selected a shopping cart template that complemented the company's logo, created a template in Dreamweaver that mimicked the shopping cart design, created graphical buttons, and reorganized and updated the "outer wrapper" pages. |
